About Counselling
My approach to counselling is very much person-centred, which means I will provide you with a safe space to talk about anything on your mind that may be troubling you and preventing you from living your best life. I will never give you advice on what I think you should or shouldn’t do or direct you in any way, instead together we can explore how you feel.
In much the same as we would never tell a flower how best to bloom but instead we would offer it the right conditions, support, light, water and care. It’s my belief that we all strive to be the best that we can be but sometimes the conditions and environment in which we find ourselves in, often prevents us from fully enjoying life.
Counselling will hopefully provide you with an environment where you will feel safe to explore your thoughts and feelings without the fear of being judged. I will be there to support and help you to find your own solutions to any problems you may be struggling with. I will offer you warmth, acceptance and understanding for whatever issues you may bring.
Maybe something in your past is standing in your way and preventing you from moving on with life? Maybe you are facing something that has changed in your life and you are not sure how to deal with it. Maybe you just don’t feel right but can’t quite work out why?
There are many reasons we find ourselves looking for counselling and a safe space to just be ourselves, uninterrupted.
I believe we all have the resources within us to make ourselves feel better but often we can’t see the wood for the trees and life can feel overwhelming when we are dealing with issues on our own.
